Nestled in the foothills directly behind downtown Ventura, Ca., the Ventura Botanical Gardens is home to a wide variety of trees & plants from around the world, chosen from regions that approximate the coastal climate in Ventura.

If you encounter problems with the VBG website, their address (for self-guided tours) is 567 Poli St., Ventura, Ca. Entrance to the gardens is just above the upper parking lot behind Ventura City Hall.

Note to Visitors: The garden trails vary in difficulty. Wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring lots of water (no alcohol allowed). Stitting/viewing benches are located throughout the gardens. Animals allowed (on leashes). Wear sunblock and a large-brimmed hat (on sunny days). For more visitor information, call (805) 232-3113.
